Developing Green, LLC

Professional Project Experience:

Developing Green, LLC was founded in 2003 by Martin A. Flannes and Morgan Brown—two devoted environmentalists who wanted to use their extensive professional experience to promote sustainable building and development.

Martin A. Flannes has significant experience on major development projects from, at various times, the project manager, investor, and attorney perspectives.  He has been personally involved in virtually every stage of such a development, including pre-development concepts, financing, acquisition, entitlements, contracts, construction, operation, and sale.  Martin has also been a committed environmentalist for more than 25 years, and has always sought to make the projects on which he worked “greener.”  One reason that he returned to the Wood River Valley was for the opportunity to develop green projects and to help others do the same.  He is Vice Chairman of the nonprofit Environmental Resource Center in Ketchum, Idaho(www.ercsv.org), Vice President of the nonprofit Sun Valley Wellness Institute (Sun Valley Wellness Festival) (www.sunvalleywellness.org) , and an active supporter of many environmental organizations.  Martin is a LEED® Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design rating system (www.usgbc.org).  Through Developing Green, LLC, Mr. Flannes is a co-founder and sponsor of the Sun Valley Sustainability Conference (www.sunvalleysustainability.org ).
